CAPITAL HILL, MOSCOW, RUSSIA

Architect: Zaha Hadid
The concept for the landscaping around this unique dwelling sited on a steep forested slope has been to keep the feeling of a thick curtain of trees with the introduction of a stream cascading down the terrain. A slightly formalized terrace at the front opens up the space and allows for entertaining
This project is a collaboration with Urban Land Studio
BARVIKHA, RUSSIA
A small garden round a new house in a dense new development. Priorities here were privacy and easy access all through the garden with a certain sense of formality in keeping with the opulent interior décor
LONDON GARDENS

London gardens are mostly overlooked and often shadowed by tall trees or other buildings. A vast array of shade-loving plants create idyllic green sanctuaries. Forgetting about lawns, stone, brick or decking allow for greater use of the space

Northwood – London

Large garden bordered by a stream and a native wood around an imposing mansion to allow for play and extensive entertaining. Mature trees ensure privacy while pleached hornbeams hide a play area and introduce formality. The area along the stream has been planted with wild flowers. A deck suspended over the water is used for secluded family barbecues

Lot – France

This is a grand scale design allowing for a mixture of gardens to bring this French Chateau to life.
The gardens give the high profile owner a surrounding to entertain visitors as well as experience the multitude of vistas offered by the site.
The entire design process consisted of two phases: creating a formal garden as well as a functioning vegetable garden.
Built according to the traditional cruciform plan but featuring a diagonal line through it the potager centers round a rose pergola over an antique stone basin.
Cascades, steps and richly planted outdoor rooms relate to the scale of the medieval chateau and create an ideal setting for entertainment.
Beyond the redesigned gardens the property is completely surrounded by vineyards.

MOSCOW CITY – MOSCOW – RUSSIA
Architect: NBBJ
The landscape design in front of this impressive development should give visitors, shoppers as well as office workers a sense of arrival while responding to its scale and echoing its terms of reference. Working in close collaboration with Urban Land Studio, the resulting design was inspired by the work of Constructivist painters and architects from Malevich to Melnikov.
THE CORE TRUST - LONDON
A dilapidated space along a row of listed cottages has been transformed into a garden where the clients of this drug rehabilitation centre can sit and grow medicinal plants. The serpentine mosaic, using historic fragments of pottery donated by the Museum of London, distracts from the narrowness of the site.
THE MOSAIC - WAPPING – LONDON
Architect: Broadway Malyan - Developer: St James
Residential development with central courtyard
The elliptical pool is the focal point of the semi-public piazza with its restaurant and café. The spectacular fountain is made of 24 jets bouncing into a stainless bowl with varying trajectories depending on the wind.
The surround has been decorated with deep blue mosaic which seems to splash onto the yellow and rich reds of the benches on either side.

RED SQUARE – STOKE NEWINGTON - LONDON

Live/Work development painted in striking shades of red along a cobbled private road. Due to size and optimal use of the site, the paving pattern and a central fountain emerging from the granite setts are the main elements of landscaping. Lighting bollards and galvanized planters with thin cypresses add rhythm to the composition
THE LIGHTHOUSE

Architect: Goddard Manton
Developer : St James
Main Contractor: Laing O’Rourke
Landscape Contractor: Thompson Landscapes
The L shape of the internal courtyard is used to great effect with the introduction of a circular fish pond overlooked by an amphitheatre for sitting and relaxing. Olive trees underplanted with vines on one side, fruit trees underplanted with sweeps of flowers on the other give the feeling of an abundant garden. A thin rill flows from an internal fountain in the reception area and appears to run through the pool while reflecting the sky
MILLENIUM HARBOUR - LONDON

Landscape Contractor: Thompson Landscapes
Three separate terraces outside a luxury penthouse overlooking the Thames. One for entertaining with hot tub and loungers, a more private one for secluded breakfast and another on the top level outside the master bedroom with a sauna. Decking, black pebbles, blue stone, bespoke furniture and clay pots unify the design
ISLE OF DOGS - LONDON

A very large terrace on the whole roof of the building accessed through a sunroom. It has been divided into 3 separate areas by sinuous mesh screens. The central area is tiled and reserved for dining. The 2 other areas are slightly raised and decked, one is for lounging outside the sauna, the other centres around a large hot tub. Planting is along the perimeter for privacy and wind protection
